Breaking Through the Three Types

When you discover that you have the characteristics of the three types but want to break through them, what can you do?

Face Your True Self

The first step you should do is to face your true self with courage. Think about how many novelists, artists and musicians are men, then, we understand that men do have different kinds of emotions. They can have intimate friends, who share the same interests and support each other. Indeed, if you can realise your potentials in an area you like, you will certainly live happier.

You Have the Choice

Although you might belong to the three types in the past, you can choose and learn to be a kind of person you like. If you wish, you can certainly change yourself through reading, attending courses, and learning from your experiences.

It is widely recognized now that a person must have high EQ in order to achieve success. EQ includes five areas of capabilities, i.e. self-understanding, managing self-emotions, self-motivation, understanding others' emotions and handling interpersonal relationship. You may notice that a high EQ person is actually beyond the three common types of men. In this era, which emphasizes teamwork, men particularly have to acquire high EQ in order to be successful.

Find the Balance

The three types are no longer adequate to meet the demands of the everchanging world. Men have to pay extra effort to maintain the balance: climbing the social ladder vs. looking for other life goals, focusing on objects/beliefs vs. establishing intimate relationships, and upholding a strong and rational image vs. expressing one's feelings appropriately. In fact, each one of us has different kinds of needs and concerns. Maintain the balance is a good way to make us feel satisfied.

Seek Professional Help

If you need someone to help you to break through the three types, you are most encouraged to seek professional help other than sharing with your family or friends.
